My experience in Thessalonika
First Week
First of all, the flight was in Wednesday, 20 and we arrived at 21:30 pm and 3 volunteers were there to pick us in the bus and explain a little about the house.
Then, the next day it was time to meet Dionisis or Didi the responsable of the house, he explain us the rules that we needed to know to live there and then we went to the principal office for us to explain our schedules
Then we spend the weekend knowing better the place, the shops and little things that where there like some churchs and statues
Food
For the breakfast we try a very Greek food that it's called bugatsa, a pastry that it's often filled with cheese, pastry cream or minced meat
For lunch we went to a place that the volunters said that we need to try and the food was very tasty. Also I tried the common pizza and it was very different of any pizza that I have ever eat
And then for dinner we went to a famouse street of Thessalonika called Gyros 'the ultimate Greek street food ' we eat in a restaurant called taberna where the
atmosphere is friendly and everyone is invited to share the food at the table.
